Su-6 (AM-42) is soviet attack fighter , that is known for it's close air support. It can equip rockets, bombs or both of them. And most importantly there are 23mm and 37mm cannons that offer penetration unavailable for majority of planes. And all this on a plane that is quite maneuverable! I will show you the gameplay and explain the basics.

7:14 actually no. Pe-2-31 at 3.7 can also carry 10 132mm rockets, and so can any other Pe-2 after that one (Pe-2-83, Pe-2-110 and Pe-2-359)

@@_dzin.ovski_ The problem with Pe-2s is that the rockets are so far off in the wings that accurately hitting with them is really hard. Also, Pe-2 being a twin engined multirole aircraft, it has much harder time to perform than Su-6

Quick weapon choice guide : bombs : 100kg are most effective what ever you do. Take 250kg if you have trouble aiming rockets : RBS are AP, RS are HE. Don't bother with the small -82 variants unless you want to attack soft targets. RBS-132 are the best vs armor. guns : 23mm are decent to attack tanks below 6.0BR as they often have weaker top armor. They are also better vs planes. 37mm on the other hand can kill over 90% of tanks in the game, they also work better vs bombers. They also have superior range, and allow player to attack light pillboxes and any tanks in air RB. Having your 37mm cannons upgraded, as well as a decent crew, is a must have to use those cannons. Otherwise take the 23mm one. Always.

In my opinion the Vya-23 is the best 23mm gun in the game. It's very accurate, doesn't drop, has high rate of fire and hits really hard. It's easy to aim at planes even from 1km away. I normally use AP belts only because the destructive power is so great it doesn't need HE. Plus the less HE you have the less chance of sparks there is.

I use this plane in tank realistic battles with 23mm ap and 2x250kg bombs. I put the bombs on the biggest tank I found on the map and then go plane hunting or starfing open tank or light armored ones (m18 are my fav to bust)

I effectively use it @7.7 although I must say I find it very difficult to aim rockets properly... anyway, 37mm is great at disrupting tanks engines and grabbing lot's of assists :D but I use it in combination with Yak9T. For Su6 indeed 23mils are much better.
