What a brilliant way to walk us through each steps. Your approach is easy to follow. Good content. Thank you.

Always love your content. Great job. One Note:** If the MS Form is created within a M365 Group, the connected Excel document is static in a folder in the group's SharePoint. That means that you can use the Excel data connection to bring it directly into the PowerBI file and publish with a refresh schedule. No Power Automate needed for this one, but you could still use PA for the email alert!

Great video, it really sums up the different ways to link forms with Power BI. There is another alternative, which was to use get data as Web, and using the Forms Link as a URL (slightly modified though)

Thanks for this. Quick one - Would it have been easier to start your MS form from Excel online? This automatically places it in OneDrive and saves the power automate stuff? (or some of it)
@HowtoPowerBI4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right. When you just want the answers from MS Forms and then save them to excel on onedrive solution that is defintily easier. I would go for power automate when I want to have a whole flow of different things to happen or when I need to write to an excel file with a different trigger than MS Forms.

Thanks for great content - I have managed to get the forms data pull though using Power Automate - For some reason the totals within a quizz do not pull though. If I look at the results in Forms the points are there, however the points score for the quiz don't come through in the data. Any Ideas. I hope someone can help.

Excellent videos! Something I haven't been able to find the solution to. How can I export a PBI Report data to an Excel file in a local directory? There seems to be a kind of express prohibition from Microsoft to do something so basic. Thank you!

Thank you for this great tutorial) Is it possible to create a power bi report based on each individual response and send the resulting report to each individual respondent? Would it involve power apps or you can use only forms, power bi and power automate?

Hi, can you connect multiple MS forms into one power BI?
@HowtoPowerBI3 жыл бұрын
yes 🙂

Nice. But, here's the catch. I have a Form that occasionally needs to be changes with some new questions added than removed. So, how to cope with this kind of Form vs Excel? My Excel file won't recognize these changes, it's all messed up after first removals I've made... (At the beginning, I opened empty and new Excel book on the web, than from there Create Form. This way I don't need to open Excel file after someone fill the Form, answers automatically goes into that Excel file)

How do you handle the column in power BI, if one question has multiple choices to submit in forms?

I have similar problem where each of my team member is going to update their project status update. So I created this form but need to save each member their own sheet, how is that possible because right now all answers are saved in one sheet . I would highly appreciate if someone can give me directions on how to do it

Hi Bas, You did a great effort in this one. I have one situation that is complex for me so I am looking for some feedback and insight on it. I would like to integrate with Power BI as well. For example, I am creating a form for entry purposes for my hub's programmes reporting. I have 8 hubs and 14 programs that are operated for customers. At the end of the day staff from each hub will enter the events that happen in a day. And I like to create a single form that does all tasks. for instance, if I choose Hub A, then it allows me to select Program 1 then allow me to enter subsequent answers like the number of attendees, time of the event and some questions come along. And if I select program 2 then it should let me enter subsequent answers similarly. I tried to do branching and I find it more challenging. So would you guide me with some insights? Rather than creating separate forms, I would love to integrate all through 1 form and have under the same data sets to analyze. Can anyone share the similar experiences I am facing?

For a big amount of data, what do you recommend? Save it through sharepoint list or excel or directly to PowerBi? As of today I have around 32k rows and counting
@HowtoPowerBI10 ай бұрын
32k rows is still "small" , so any of these options would work well.

Great video. Not your fault, but the whole process for having PBI automatically refresh when new content is added is very complicated. I would have thought that Microsoft would have made this simpler! Need a real time solution that is simple to set up.
