Philip's 'floral' on that fireplace mantle was perfect. It's a large and cool space so having the larger and dramatic green just breathed life into the entire room.
@louisegogel79732 жыл бұрын
I agree. He needed to remove the bottom leaves for the arrangement to last longer, but moss covered twigs and sticks make an awesome structure on which to build a lovely, unconventional arrangement. I love arranging flowers myself, though I prefer to keep the flowers living in the garden, so, I often end up with making dried arrangements from interesting bits and pieces.

From Judy in Australia 🇦🇺. Marie is far kinder than my aunt who commented on a flower arrangement of mine when visiting my mother’s house. She looked at it and baldly stated: “I see you’ve been arranging the flowers again, Steve!” (Steve was her childhood name for my mother derived from her maiden surname.) I indigently replied: “I did those Auntie Pat!” She quickly said: “I see you’ve inherited your mother’s talent”. 😂😂😂 ❤️🇦🇺

marié has such a soft eye, but she is also blest w/ a wonderful understanding of color and value of color, shadind, a admixture. she, herself, is a gem, and one of the few florists who know how to use the difficult, but beautiful color purple. finally, what she is doing in this vid is the very thing that pushes the cheateau diaries so far along in entertainment value, dyi, education, practical study, and the seeking of the natural world around us. i'm not one who is generally caught up in flowery comments and speech, but i see so much good done here in this venue. it is wonderful to address the big issues w/ flowers, plants, arrangements, lays, etc., in such big houses. drying, desiccants, and more are just outside the windows. wonderful and so deserving of feeling, attention, and touch. i noticed, btw, that he has a very nice basket, and i bet he can fill it very nicely. take some of the leafy green and partially spray some w/ light silver, bright white, and light lavender.
