Love them both and can’t wait for my tiny linearis to grow and look like yours.

I have been getting into hoya now. I love the variety that they all offer. ❤️

Awesome! So true and they are usually fairly low maintenance too 🙂🌱💚

Got into hoya during the plantdemic, I'm also in the bay area and super impressed you were able to find some locally. I've mainly been buying on etsy...but I've got the itch so bad I'm thinking about buying from overseas, but I'm worried about shipping during this time.

I got really lucky with the Linearis, the rest are from Etsy or through other sites. I definitely have the itch too and bought a lot recently 😅. I’ve never bought from overseas but it sounds like a gamble based on other collectors but if they do well it looks well worth it since you can get large plants and potentially sell cuttings. I wonder how much is saved vs spending more domestically factoring in shipping, phytosanitary certificate and the risk of damaged/dying plants. 🤔

Little Leaf SF it really is a roll of the dice. Either pay 4x the amount domestically or pay less but receive dead plants. AH Hoya seems reputable in Thailand. I’m also willing to wait it out as this is not as critical as it may seem sometimes. Hehe 😅

Is this a delicate plant? Or easy?
@LittleLeafSF4 жыл бұрын
Which one? Both have been easy in my experience, would make sure to not overwater each (water when top two inches of soil are dry) or for the linearis, the leaves don’t perk out (look more droopy against the main stem vs. sticking out).

@@LittleLeafSF oh sorry the krohniana. Is that plant easy ?
@LittleLeafSF4 жыл бұрын
@@lucyeloisa7165 it’s been easy for me so far. I basically treat it like a succulent and water when the soil is dry and give it bright indirect light. The leaves are fairly thick. It was growing pretty quickly during summer.

@@LittleLeafSF for some reason mine keeps getting root rot.
@LittleLeafSF4 жыл бұрын
@@lucyeloisa7165 Not sure how your soil mix is but maybe it needs more aeration if it’s not already (like pearlite, bark etc.)? My soil can get pretty dry (only in a maybe 3 inch pot but and it’s still okay when it’s basically completely dry). Sometimes the roots can die if you don’t water enough too so hopefully you can find the sweet spot but it seems tolerant to dry soil as long as the roots are established. If they are still forming after the rot maybe don’t let it completely dry out so they can establish? Good luck!

Hello can you please offer any care tips for the eskimo?
@LittleLeafSF4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Currently it’s in bright indirect light (South facing in Northern California and there are buildings surrounding the window). it’s in an airy mixture of peat, coco squares and pearlite and I water it when it’s dry. I fertilized it with Osmocote slow release (6 months) fertilizer balls.
