i think the absolute peak of Genshin cutscene is Focalor's death/Neuvillette's ascension. Its barely a fight scene but gives me more goosebumps than even the most sakuga fight scenes across Hoyo animations.

i'm a sucker for traditional animation, i took animation as my course in vocational high school and have been implanted everyday with 12 principles of animation. for me, ZZZ despite the newest game, took the cake by FAR FAR AHEAD it's not even comparable. i love the animation so much, how they squash and stretches, their exaggerations, unrealistic cartoon-y looney-tune-y movement and animation even in serious battle cutscenes.

for example 07:45 even for a mundane 1 second scene like inspecting the broken gadget has soooo much detail that adds to the animation. It's insane! i'm absolutely geeking for zzz animation!

aight, here's my opinion: most action packed: hi3 and GI most expressionate: zzz most graphically appealing: hi3 and hsr

Hi3's Cutscene is a trailer, rest all are cutscenes. Action vise goes to genshin. Hsr animation Probably can't animate long Fights like that. Zzz can ig but for now it's just a slash. There r too many filler/Normal characters in Zzz, so we ain't getting a long Ass Fight Cutscene Anytime Soon

The quests build up to Aventurine wanting to destroy the entire planet just to get absolutely destroyed by a single slash in a nanosecond is some fate-level cinematic story 🔥

HI3 cutscenes are kind of lame honestly. Their animated shorts are phenomenal, but cutscenes? I’d put that below genshin. At least they’re improving them now.

hot take but I really dislike the engine they use for HSR cutscenes. The colours are really desaturated for some reason and the shadows are too strong.

What do you mean you dislike the engine of the cutscene in hsr. hi3, hsr, gi and zzz all use unity engine to develop 😂, that cutscene of acheron draw her sword look a lot better than GI cutscene

@@nguyenhoa5409 HSRs cutscenes look like they are pre-rendered in a different engine. And either way, it's just up to personal preferences.

It's okay everyone gets have their own opinion. I personally like it because it make it looks less 3d and cartoony like in GI and ZZZ. They do it because they basically went for a more cinematic approach, also the game character movement is the most limited than the rest so they obviously have to pre-rendered it.
