Holy shit... He's definitely my favourite songwriter and musician from the current century. Also can we take a minute and appreciate the girls? yep, he totally got into the heads of so many people (forest magic). Thanks to him now i got into Heaney's poetry, Ella Fitzgerald...and stopped liking Polunin (for his stupid pro-Putin manifesto) for messing with Hozier's vision of art (got no better words to describet it...ughh)
@MrsAferova
@MrsAferova 6 жыл бұрын
@@hanami741 It was so sad hearing about Polunin. The initial inspiration of an out of vogue dancer, the misfit, was super cool and refreshing but then he snapped like that and oh boy, that was a slap in the face, honestly... Especially taking in consideration Hozier's beliefs and social activism that is totally on the opposite side of Sergei's. For me it looked like a total mockery and it's sad that it didn't came out earlier, before he even started to work with Hozier.
@hanami741
@hanami741 6 жыл бұрын
@@MrsAferova yeah exactly, it totally saddened me and made me kinda angry. And it also makes me think how stupid Polunin is, because c'mon i bet his pro-Putin views (which means no tolerance, homophobia, etc.) had been there before and he got to like Take me to Church so much he danced to it? He seriously never bothered to check the lyrics, or Hozier's statement behind this, such pure ignorance...dude has no integrity at all, takes part in projects that aren't in line with him....and then indirectly goes all against it. I really liked his dancing, but now i don't feel like checking his artwork at all. He might be just an uneducated victim of his environment...but on the other hand he's been living outside of Russia and Ukraine, to find out what is propaganda and what isn't. I just wish Andrew was able to express his opinion about it and just be straightforward instead of sweeping it under the carpet

[Lyrics] I still watch you when you're groovin' As if through water from the bottom of a pool You're movin' without movin' And when you move, I'm moved You are a call to motion There, all of you a verb in perfect view Like Jonah on the ocean When you move, I'm moved When you move I'm put to mind of all that I wanna be When you move I could never define all that you are to me So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby You are the rite of movement Its reasonin' made lucid and cool I know it's no improvement When you move, I move You're less Polunin leapin' Or Fred Astaire in sequins Honey, you, you're Atlas in his sleepin' And when you move, I'm moved When you move I can recall somethin' that's gone from me When you move Honey, I'm put in awe of somethin' so flawed and free So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby So move me, baby Like you've nothin' left to prove And nothin' to lose Move me, baby Ooh, ooh, ooh Oh baby, oh baby Move like grey skies Move like a bird of paradise Move like an odd sight come out at night Move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby So move me, baby Like you've nothin' left to lose And nothin' to prove Move me, baby So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby
