So many religious comments. Don't people know this song isn't about God or church? Rather, it's about homophobia and church-fueled shaming. I wish it was religious and paying homage to God, but it isn't, sadly.

This song is about a man who doesn’t beleive in god, saying, “shrine of your lies” but going to church because he loves his girlfriend, or boyfriend as the official music vid they are gay. It’s about going to church for the message, not beacuse they believe in it. Personally I don’t, I used to, but then I started doing calculus in grade 5, advanced fast, and realized that no, we did indeed not come from two people. Otherwise all of us would be millions of layers of inbred. And Steven Hawkings would be a good representation of what we would all look like, RIP.

Believing in a religion is a very good thing, for the message and the cultural benefits, but, to give your life for something that isn’t true. That’s to far, everyone can have their beliefs, and some are… worse than others (flat earthers ahem) but most… yea most, should be accepted (not joined, but like… accepted as in yay the redneck uncle accepting his new gay nephew.) just my point of view, and please. DONT ARGUE ABOUT THIS IN THE COMMENTS

I would love to see a demonstration that Jesus does anything at all. You should become familiar with the concept of "confirmation bias" "causality" and "causation"

Maybe this is the wrong comment section to ask this, seems the pious are out in force. How do you come to terms that you're bi? My upbringing has told me it's wrong but it feels right to me yet the few people I've told say "I'm here for you" when they're anything but. Just need advice, not any sh1tty opinions. Thanks ❤

At the end of the day it's gotta be you who's gonna decide what turn you want your life to take. Something you desire or something the society desires of you. Nobody's benefitting only you are negatively affected by the latter. If God has made you he has already selected your path and is testing you whether you'll be true to yourself or the societal made concepts of humanity. Nobody's coming to help everybody's coming to talk.
