HP 15-D 15-DY 15 DY1031wm Take Apart Complete Disassembly Teardown

If you are taking your HP 15-D 15-DY 15-DY1031wm laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.

Very helpful video, thanks a ton for making it. Had an issue where my laptop would BSOD if i picked it up wrong. I opened it up and swapped the ram around and it seems to have fixed it!

Interesting, I would think that one of the memory units or memory slot is bad. Check if this will happen again, try it with one memory...

Great video. The rubber strips on the back cover, you can just slot them back into place without any sort of adhesive? For some reason I'm suprised by that.

This strip is ok when new. When the laptop ages, it would be less possible to remove it without damaging it..

Small pliers or drill it out. Could also use screw extruder but, but very careful.

Once you remove the connectors can you put them back on and have it work perfectly fine after?

Good morning, it really depends on a few factors. Usually and by design, they are reusable. But knowing the fact that many of them are made out of plastic, certain things can be damaged a bit.

The LCD is so fragile that if you move the inverter board a little it'll crack the screen.

Most likely no. I take apart used devices, so there could be some discrepancy in the internal components ...

Removing it at around 2:56
