"steaming pile of fetid dingo's' kidneys" ( 9:07 ) Is that a description that Dave should add to his repertoire?

I think I got that from a Monty Python episode but I've used it many times and, w.r.t Ultra Scope it is completely accurate :)

The power supply capacitor (100uF) in my unit has been replaced and the meter lives again! Thanks!! I found the service manual on the Internet, but it doesn't have the waveforms. Do you have a link to a manual that does?

NP - Happy to help - I've dropped a copy of the waveforms here - imgur.com/a/0O9NB9t - but I really recommend getting the great scans from ArtekManuals.com - Very reasonably priced and they do a great job in getting the image quality high, way better than Keysight did.

I'd like to ship you my 435A since I have no sensors for it but I'd hate to think how much shipping would cost... BTW I just looked at your LinkedIn profile. It mentions that your BEng degree is still a work in progress...

Yes, it is (LI Profile) - I did 4 years of EE specializing in digital electronics at ADFA (4th year in VLSI design) but didn't get all the required subjects (I sort of suck on that), then I did 2 years of EE at UNSW but still didn't do the fully required subjects (math), finally, I did another 2 years at UTS in their Computer Engineering course and still couldn't get my stuff in one sock ( did I mention that I suck at that, right) - I have to be the most educated and yet incompetent engineer in the history of engineering. If I had to be honest about it, I got caught between the money of software and the laziness of a young man. Would I do it this way again? No.
