Thanks for the help. Probably the worst computer I've had to work on; I couldn't believe the amount of force needed to remove the screen.

I just upgraded the HD on my wife's HP All-In-One using this video. Really, really appreciate your posting this. It runs vastly better on an SSD.

Great video. Couldn't have gotten the screen out without breaking it if I hadn't watched your video. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for your expert demonstration. Was just given a 24-cxxxx model for an elderly parent which looks the same design - Need to change the dead slow and constantly churning HDD to SSD. You're right it's much trickier than getting into the HP Pro/Elite AiO that I chose for my sister last year. Seeing this is 3.5" drive has scuppered my plans though.. I've just moved house and I'm sure I probably threw away my 2.5 to 3.5 adaptors that had been lying around for nearly a decade. I haven't used a 3.5" or a desktop in all that time. Sigh...murphy's law ain't it? I suppose I'll have to order something off the local fleabay equivalent and pay the postage and wait a week or so. Thanks again thought great video!

I have a hp all in one model number 24-g032 with a bad hard drive will this ssd work in my computer? Your explanation was excellent and easy to follow .

Watch out so you don't scrape the sides of the screen and make foam go between the layers, i just spent a half hour taking mine back apart and using a needle to pull them out, the touch layer isn't well attached to the lcd so you can end up pulling parts of it free and the foam falls in making spots on your screen

I bought one for my mom a few months ago and it's already 100% disk usage despite so little use. I assume it's because of that throw-away quality HDD, so I was going to replace it with a new one. Hopefully this video helps when the HDD comes in.

Bad idea, putting a HD in there, go with an SSD, it will be night and day faster.

I need to remove an 512gb SAMSUNG SSD 850 Pro from an old laptop to install it on AIO like the one that you shown. Is it needed to pay attention to UEFI or Legacy BIOS definitions for the SSD to be recognized by the AIO? Or it is just plug and play?

I have an Hp envy 20 all in one pc 500gb hdd. It runs so slow. I am updating the ram but I want to upgrade to an SSD as well. Mine also comes with a 16gb msata catching ssd. Would I have to do this as well? Change the bios set up so it doesn't use the 16gb msata ?

I was just helping with one of these and didn't realize it had a cache drive only noticed the 1 BT it was very slow, she had lots of licensed Apps the plan was to clone the drive with an SSD. looks like I would have to do a clean install on top of that finicky to take apart so I will pass its a bigger job than she is prepared to pay I always said HP is the worse of the worse this confirms it, why not just use a bigger M2 I guess I could still clone it and keep the M2 caching but it might scupper the raid being a different drive in fact I know it would

Hi, what happen after installing the new ssd drive if i don't change setting in bios can I install the new windows and start using the computer?
@FrimleyComputing3 жыл бұрын
If you're just cloning the old drive to a new SSD then you shouldn't need to make any changes to the BIOS. I always go into the "Fix Windows Boot" option within Macrium Reflect and recreate the drive boot manager though just to be certain that it boots without any issues.

Mine is an older all in one...mine definitely didn't come with a 1TB HDD I think it only has 500gb storage, got a 2 TB SSD that I can put into a USB to expand the storage. My computer just threw up the no hard drive disc detected and fails to boot up...I'm not a computer guy by any means, so I'm getting pretty pissed...kinda like a monkey on a typewriter expecting shakesperian playwriting...I'm a proficient mechanic but this tech s%$# is like trying to ready Chinese...idk what I'm looking at but I'll figure it out...also your all in one looks a bit thinner than mine and has a wider border around the screen, I do know that I been warned not to pry on the sides or I will Crack the screen and there's not a replacement one to fix it...
