I just pulled a BH-532-H Daven stereo attenuator apart with that same nut and it just unscrewed with a small pair of needle nose pliers. On this one the coupling between the two decks is passive (no push pins). I am thinking of repurposing it to use for a selector switch for my autoformer volume control in my passive stereo preamp. Thanks for the video.

What kind of punch tool did you use for the pins on the volume pot? This thing is pissing me off.

I just used a drift punch to get it started, then an allen key to drive it all the way through. Be aware that it's tapered and only wants to come out one way. I used a jeweler's anvil as a surface. A drill press might have enough leverage to push it out. Good luck, those pots are a pain.
