Honestly have had a lot of experience with hp laptops and these are some of the only ones I wouldn’t reccomend, they used to be way better(I actually have an old one with a subwoofer built in) more modern hp 14-15xxx models normally are made of metal like my one I bought for school. I did have this issue in my dell laptop which sucks. Had a ryzen 7 2700u and now I’m downgraded to a ryzen 3 3250u

which lenovo you get makes a big difference. yogas are for chumps unless you really need the form factor and get the like $3k top model, ideapad is also for chumps or people after a low spec beater (idk why you wouldn't just get an old second hand thinkpad then), legion is for the xX_Gamer_Xx's and has slightly better build quality than most gaming laptops out there - you will still end up breaking some plastic somewhere on it. thinkpad is peak. dell inspiron is the equivalent of lenovo ideapad, except there's a pretty big range of price points and qualities from Dell, latitude is the equivalent of the thinkpad, also peak and with some great professional-focused custom software - it blocks Windows auto updates and schedules battery charging and everything. I rock a second hand latitude and I think it'll go forever
@astra6640
@astra6640 Жыл бұрын
@@rolls_8798 A bunch of ideapads are pretty great these days. I had an older one that was cheap plastic and that was trash, but I also have a newer one, one of those silvery grey ones, and it's pretty great build quality. Also, you can get amazing value out of these if you're looking for something to do lighter workloads on, like I have a family member with one of these who's a teacher and appreciates the rather modern specs and snappiness of it, since it has a Ryzen 7, an NVMe SSD, and 16 gigs of RAM, and was very cheap for the specs, and has the advantage of being light and compact (it's a 14 inch laptop coming it at 1.4 kg or so iirc). I know the specs because I helped pick it out specifically for her needs. Thinkpads are generally not very compact or light laptops, buying used has the issue of getting you outdated specs, which is an issue especially considering that at least here even brand new laptops you can buy generally tend to be behind the curve. Buying one of these ideapads is actually a pretty great choice if you carry your laptop around a lot and care about specs and snappiness but don't want to pay a fortune because your paycheck is as terrible as a teacher's is in this country.

Bro give at least useful tips, if you open your laptop (by taking of the back cover) you can see a screw at the connectors, just lose a little bit and it will definitely last longer. Sorry for my bad English

… or you could buy a Mac laptop in the first place and have it last more than a decade with little to no maintenance, like my Mid 2012 13’’ MacBook Pro… The last Mac laptop that broke somewhat like these was the original Titanium PowerBook G4 from the early 2000’s, and that was because Apple was using a very new external cast hinge design, which they immediately got rid of as soon as they realized they were putting out lemons and had time to redesign the whole thing; these manufacturers - plural, as my ex’s Asus had the exact same problem and finding parts for it was a pain - have been using these shitty steel plate hinges screwed onto those tiny brass thread rings for YEARS, and yet people keep buying them. They should be classified as premature-e-waste-in-waiting and regulated out of existence, IMHO.
