I have this printer/plotter, it's 12 years old and still works perfectly, i print up to A0 photographs without any problems.

@@Bighaterinmedia i print on gloss, matt, lustre and canvas, if you buy refurbished make sure you see it working first they are very good printers.

@@ExposedRoot I bought some HP Gloss, Canon Gloss, and Lustre, and a generic Canvas, i bought them all on Ebay, the most i paid was £40 for the Canon Gloss 30 metre roll.

not bad at all for like, a 20yo plotter, if you can get cheap generic inks to work on it, and use photoshop tp adjust the saturation and everything ( also better paper, this one seems to drink like a french driver) it would be excellent.

A very good work horse. I own three of them and use them for my poster business. If you can learn how to maintain those printers on your own, then buy it. If you know nothing about maintaining the unit....Don't buy it.

I'm thinking of buying one of these on ebay. Problem is hardly anyone will ship and you have to collect in person. I guess that makes sense so you can see it going. I want to start printing posters to frame up. Is this a decent model? They go for average of £300+ on ebay second hand.

Nope, to print on vinyl I think you need latex or solvent ink printer. Not inkjet.

HP, expensive and slow ... always, the only advantage of this model is being able to convert it into latex paint for use in external media
