You can use WIFI Direct with internet, WIFI or USB Cable

This doesn't work.The printer doesn't show up on the app. Why does my damn printer have to be connected to the internet???

You need to put the printer in a wireless mode by pressing the cancel and WIFI buttons together simultaneously for 3 seconds the search the printer again on the HP smart app
