Thanks so much for this video. Great Job - I was able to rescue the main printer for a non-profit that has limited funds. They were going to toss this unit out and purchase a new one. But since I was able to replace the fuser assembly, with your help, all they need to purchase is the replacement fuser. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video! Had a label jammed in the front rollers in one at work and damm if I could figure out the side covers! Once i got past them, pulling the front apart wasn't as big a deal as i thought and was able to remove the mess.

Thank you for this video, helped this end user perform this job. I got stuck in a few parts because I could not really see the details, such as releasing right side clip on transfer roller, and I had no idea how that white ground wire clipped onto the fuser, but I eventually figured it all out and brought this bad boy back to life!

Thank you for this video. There were some parts where you could’ve gone more in depth like specifically which wires i had to pull out and maybe a close up of them and which gears to reattach first before putting the new fuser in, those tripped me up a bit. but other than that, i got my printer fixed 👍🏻

Have customers M425 - it jams after the paper has gone about 2cm out of the fuser. Tried two fusers and the same issue Machine reports jam in cartridge area. Spent more time on it than i care to admit. Any pointers would be warmly appreciated.

Open the right cover (where the power connector is) and look for a small solenoid with 2 yellow wires coming to it, in the bottom left corner. It is held by a screw attached to chassis. Undo that screw and free the solenoid, so it gets more clearance between contacts. Getting it out could be tricky and you don't really have to. Use a cotton tip dipped into isopropyl to clean the goo between the contacts and when cleaned up, put it back into its place. Those fantom jams kept driving me crazy especially during cold weather, saw another youtube video where they showed how to fix it. It was caused by a sticky solenoid that stuck just for a fraction of a second more than needed causing those fantom jams! Printer now works fine but the solenoid is a bit louder than it should be, you might want to put sticky tape around contacts but I left mine as is.

How you reset meter count on these and the mfps

The M401 M425 printer does not track page counts for maintenance so there is no need to do a page reset on this model.
