Just did an update on my printer and this still works. Just make sure you're tapping on the back and home buttons even if it's not lit up.

Actually still works. Video is rubbish and I don't speak Thai but if you watch the hands carefully, you will be able to access the service menu too. Back button, home button, back button, home button X 2

This does work. The printer will say “cartridge looks empty ONLY USE IF YOU KNOW IT HAS INK”. Which means you can fill it up and just do this reset whenever it shows “empty”
