This is a review on the HP Omen 1100 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The HP Omen 1100 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is one of HP's first stabs at a gaming keyboard and honestly its pretty good! I am going to be highlighting the main features of the Hp Omen keyboard, along with taking a look at the Greetech blue switches which this keyboard uses. I had bought this keyboard a few years ago on clearance at walmart and love the heck out of it. Then again it is my first mech keyboard. The only main complaint I have with it is the lack of dedicated volume control but I remedied that using sharp keys to make F6 mute, F7 volume down, f8 volume up since I don't really use those 3 any way.

Got mine at Walmart for just above $20. It is loud. A bit too loud in my opinion, but otherwise I really like it. I am a fan of the minimalistic design personally. I like my equipment to look elegant and professional with just a hint of aggressiveness. It compliments my build well. Picked up the mouse too as it was only $12 bucks or so. Happy with that one as well.

I have this keyboard, it's really good, it's very clicky, if you used to big keyboards, it'll take you just a few hours and you get used to this keyboard very quickly,. I love this, I do agree with this font on the keyboard being a bit weird,, you'll get used to it as well.

Hey Mitchell! Can you give us an update on if you could brighten the LEDs with software? I was really bummed to see them so dim like that and I just bought one for myself and its being shipped out right now. Tried this keyboard at a local store selling for a dirt cheap price. Unfortunately I've found the sound of the switches extremely loud and jarring even when pressing lightly, despite the feel on each stroke being pretty good. I wouldn't really suggest it to anyone who doesn't love loud keyboards

There are 2 kinds of Omen Keyboards (for now): Omen 1100 & Omen Sequencer What makes these 2 keyboards so different? (Design) HP Omen products were meant to be minimalist products they've ever had in Gaming History. Despite of this, HP Omen 1100 Keyboard has super minimalistic style similar as Razer Blackwidow X and as for HP Omen Sequenceer Keyboard it has cool minimalistic.....but slightly Gamers style (not too minimalistic) with its larger size than Omen 1100. (Respond) This time, Omen Sequencer have to be a winner at this point due to fast response time with 0.2ms Respond time and Omen 1100 at the 2nd place with 1ms Response time. (Features and Lights) As i said before, Omen 1100 is super minimalistic meaning that there's nothing much except red dim lights underneath those keycaps (except WASD replaced with white) but this was an exception for Sequencer, it has full RGB lights and volume key control including mute feature. (Switches) HP 1100 uses Blue Switch, meaning that it is the loudest click we've ever heard but the feel of clicking it is just feels so right, meanwhile HP Sequencer uses Red Switch with less sound but still can be heard and the feel its like soften when you typed it. (Price) Ofc without any futher information HP Sequencer is much expensive than HP 1100.
