HP OMEN 16 REVIEW AND UNBOXING OF 2023 VERSION *Best 1 Yet?*

Hey there, great video, thanks for taking the time to put it together. Did you happen to notice any flex to the case on the bottom? I had an HP omen 16 2023, and when I'd pick it up from the bottom right side it would pop and flex. I ended up contacting them and they exchanged it. Hoping it's not an issue with the new one. I just got this for $999 thanks to a weird clerical error at Best Buy!! It was listed online as $999, I show up to buy it and the guy accidentally gave me the i5 (2022 version) I drive back and explain to Returns and then eventually the guy and he says "Wait, I didn't give you the i7?" and I'm like no! So we check my receipt and get this, the receipt says I was sold the i5 but my online Best Buy account says i7!! We check the website and the page with i7 at $999 "cannot be found" and the new page has it priced at $1399, so we clal the manager over and he price matched it for me so I only paid the $999! I haven't opened it yet. I came to watch your video instead!! Thanks for uploading! Edit: mine is i7, 4050 💙💙💙

i purchased hp omen 2022 i9 12900H 3070TI with 32GB ram. it was a great choice to me for gaming laptop!! i really like it

yo! i got my HP omen 16 for like a 1000 euro (=1100 dollars) and it has a RTX 4050 with a i5-13420H. Dont know if I got a good deal or not, austrian online shops hit different

Hi Kushel :) I have found that under full load I only get about 2 to 3 hours of battery life. I try to keep it plugged in at all times and then I don't worry about it. Thank you for watching, CHEERS!

@@Sledbuddy okay okay, can i assume that under normal working conditions, it can give like about 5 hours?

@@kushelwho In theory yes, under light load and in a cool room it could run 5 hours fine. But if it gets hot and the Omen fans kick on often then the battery will drain quicker. I find the battery life greatly changes with the temperature of the room its used in. So cooler room equals longer battery life. I hope this helps :)

Hey man great review, I have the same laptop and I was wondering if you could make another video on how you set yours up? I am pretty new to a gaming laptop so I m not sure what things I should do to optimize it for gaming and such: changing settings, deleting files, using omen gaming hub to optimize gaining and such. Let me know if you do anything really appreciate it!

i thought the 2023 model with have a 4000 series gpu? also isnt 1750 expensive for a 3060

There are different GPU options you can order. I chose the 3060 because it was all I needed. I paid $1750 CAD about $1300 USD. I hope this clarifies things. Thank you for your time to watch and comment. I always like to hear from others. Cheers my friend!

The i9 is solid and the 3060 is more then sufficient. 16GB ram and 1tb storage is also very sufficient for most people. If you do get it please let me know how it works out for you.
