I have the same computer and I wanted to ask why is it when I turn it on it automatically goes to HP recovery manager even when I press "start windows normally"?

after doing this my installation failed and it was showing "BOOTMGR missing" when it was restarted

Monkjmp Llot you will need to buy a copy of Windows or restore disc and reload it with drivers needed

Hmm. best thing to do is get another copy of windows and drivers and reload, or try doing from within windows sorry for delay.

+biggonyou : Computer Whisperer i have a cd which labeled with " application and driver recovery dvd" is this the window 7 cd installer or with these cd i can safely factory reset my laptop

Hello - Critics are "the Audio is very low in your Video" The Backup function are not working correct if the HDD is crashed. The copy function will stop after a while and then??? what shall i do there is nothing to see what is copied and what not. That doesn't work well. If you recover a never ending Story of Partitioning, Recovering, Installing etc. occure and then the Windows can't start. Informations like "Windows can't find the Inviroment" OK or "Windows can't start something" OK and so on. This recovery tool shall have a a function where you can make a DVD with a Backup and a DVD or USB Stick with a Win7 installer and not things like this. If your HDD is crashed by a fall down from a table for i.e. then this Recovery will bring nothing because then is the time to change the HDD to a new one and not a recovery like this! 2nd you can't have have a watch on your Data what you want to backup this is also a secret in this Backupsystem. A other way is to start a Linux like Ubuntu from DVD and backup your Personal Data to a other machine in a network or to a external HDD so i do now. 14h of coping the Personal Data is now running.
