HP Pavilion Gaming 16-a0032dx Screen Display Replacement

My son dropped the computer and I didn't have SquareTrade. HP said they wanted ~$300 to repair it, but they and other repair places (Geek Squad, local shops) said they didn't have the part and couldn't explain how they would get it. It was hard to find, as it's a specific 16" screen with certain specs.
Eventually, I found several options via Alibaba / AliExpress (only 1 on eBay and that seller was also on Ali). Of course I was nervous given the troubles I've had with the slow boat from China in the past, especially with the Transformers I was buying a year ago. But, I went ahead and tried "JulyskyMall Store" because of their price, positive feedback, and operation time. They delivered! A month early! Give them a look.

its my second display from service center and they placed few mm more from the top so i can see annoying black line at top and few pixel missing at bottom , how do i shift it more up .

@@liricothefirstandonlymarcoo In taking it apart without breaking anything. I then could drill small holes through the plastic and screw the broken off hinge back to the screen.

@@GOrk257 Did the hinge break? Do you have the same laptop as the video or do you have the size 15.6?

@@liricothefirstandonlymarcoo It's an older 15.6, but hinges and plastic is nearly the same. The hinge itself didn't breake, but the screws holding together the two metal plates (hinge and screen) broke loose. Now I have two nuts sticking out of the screens back, but it's stable again.

I just follow your tutorial (the one In the description too) but I have horizontal color lines in all the screen, there's something wrong with the new screen or the problem is something in my laptop?? Edit: I have image and good response, bit the graphic error is annoying.

bro same thing my display is fine at 60hz but at 144 there are black line stripes at the bottom. It goes away while in fullscreen gaming and returns back again later in desktop mode. is it display or windows issue?
