Got mine 4330s with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz and an 8Gb RAM. as stock processor. can it cater i7?

It is not recommended to put XM series processors in small laptops. due to TDP

there are 2 versions of processors of this family: socket 988 and bga. if you open your laptop and see the socket, the replacement procedure will be similar. the disassembly procedure for the probook series is approximately the same.

I have installed an I7 2670QM. While not the same i would think the 2760 works too. But it got a bit hot so im limited the max speed to 95% in my case. So it would need some additional cooling even with good thermal paste.

@@Maraxion Nice, thank you for reply. But my notebook isnt working right now. I didn't wanna boot so i decided to update the bios but it failed and the notebook bios is corrupted. Do you know about any other way than soldering the bios chip itself to repair the bios ? I know that there is some bios flash usb but i cant find it anywhere for this model :((.

I was upgrading my pavilion g7. so the short answer is yes. in practice, you need to check the compatibility sheet. and consider that the A10 is significantly hotter
