Definitely! Very handsome laptop and love that it has 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports for that eGPU pairing! Webcam kill switch and privacy screen are nice perks on top of it all too! Only thing missing for me specifically is the slot for a security cable lock.

@@0x007A True; it would start to feel more clunky however. I have the Gen1 Spectre which might be slightly heavier than these new models, but I just handle it with care when in tablet mode

@@Striker50_ for clarification I meant a removable rubbery cover similar to the cloth protector between the keyboard and screen that HP uses when shipping notebook computers. In the case of the membrane-type keyboard cover it is not permanently attached to the keyboard but it is form-fitting for a secure surface when used. I don't think I have ever used my HP Spectre X360 (13-inch or 15-inch) in tablet mode. I have a Remarkable for tablet tasks like taking hand-written notes and occasionally reading PDFs.

@@0x007A ah I see what you mean; seems like it'd fall off since it's only gripping to the keys I used it to take notes in college and it worked great, tent mode is also awesome for when I have to take notes on physical paper off my screen in an area with limited space

Anyone wondering whether the HP Spectre X360 (13-inch) supports GNU/Linux, it works very well although depending on the GNU/Linux distribution a few tweaks might be necessary.

Yeah look as good as this laptop is, you can't upgrade RAM, GPU is absolute trash (eGPU is needed for anything heavy), there's mad screen wobble when using the pen and the fans could lift the device off the table when charging. It's good but, I'd recommend you have a look at the M1 range of Apple laptops or Dell laptops before committing to this device 🤷🏿‍♂️

The only part of your critique that I am in agreement is the soldered RAM. The SSD can be upgraded and is no thicker than notebook RAM these days.

I dislike how short the palmrest and touchpad is on these, but since they switched to 3:4 aspect ratio, they had a longer deck for a larger touchpad and more room to rest your hands which I like

If you're an engineer or architect Spectre or XPS due to x86 software needs. Also some of us need a touch screen on a laptop. But for video editing go M1.

Depends on ur use. If u need the pen and 2in1 use go for the spectre or xps. In my opinion the hp looks a bit better, but this is a individual thing. Theres not a big difference between This. If u aren't using pen or the touch screen, the macbook is the way to go. But then I would wait for the updated version of the MacBook this year. Updated m1 and refreshed display. Have u looked lenovo products like the thinkpad x1 oder the yoga 7i and 9i also good products. Same category like xps and spectre.
