You list 11-r015wm in the tags, but it's not the same model. It has an entirely different interior. I'm trying to figure out where the power ribbon plugs in as I don't see any place for it - it came out as soon as I lifted the keyboard a bit. It's not at all like the model you're working on.

heard about issues with one of the wires disconneting from the wireless module. Is that a common problem? I am using Ubuntu 14.10 and my wifi signal is very low, 86 db. Wondering about installing an external USB WiFi adaptor to correct this problem. If I do that will the software pick that up and install the proper driver? Will I need too disable the original wifi module if I do that?

Have you ever replaced your entire keyboard, due to water damage? That’s the current pickle I am in, and I am looking into buying a new keyboard and just taking the old, damaged one off and replacing it. Any tips?

Never pry the plastic open with a flathead screwdriver. Instead use an old, expired bankcard, or similar piece of plastic.

If it has no screws you will probably just be able to do the next step anyway since the manufacturers would’ve had to put it on some way
