Cadillac, I did a similar install but purchased a Crucial NVMe, clone look good but got the Windows blue screen of death once I installed the new SSD. Any suggestions?

Would love to see a tutorial on how to upgrade from an oem Intel SSD with Optane like the Intel H10's to a traditional SSD. I did the clone and swap just like your videos, but can't switch from Intel drivers to Samsung drivers. Samsung magician won't recognize the Evo Plus without Samsung drivers. Thanks for all the videos and help!

Hi..you need to use samsung data migration software tool. Did your laptop come with both. Optane memory and a m.2 ssd?
@nismomike31823 жыл бұрын
@@CadillacComputerCenter I used the Samsung data migration tool based on your super helpful videos and purchased the cloning tool through your links, and everything is running fine. I think the problem is the OEM SSD was all in one ssd+optane. My HP Envy X360 only has 1 m.2 nvme slot.
@CadillacComputerCenter3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes the intel H10 is an ssd/optane memory in one drive. .cloning one is a pain. Did you get it going with the new Samsung ssd?
@nismomike31823 жыл бұрын
@@CadillacComputerCenter Yep, with your help it's running perfect with great read and write. Just can't use Samsung Magician, but I can live without it if I have to.

I have an Asus Expertbook P2 and its ram and NVME is hidden under similar plate. Don't know why these use these plates? To make the memory and nvme more accesable ?

I bought a similar model for black friday, mine being 10th gen i5. I was looking to upgrade my ram to x2 Crucial 16gb 3200, I wouldn't need to clone, plug and play I guess right? Great video, thank you!

Hi!! Is there a significant difference if I put a DDR4 2666mhz ram instead of 3200mhz one? My laptop supports 3200mhz and there is a 3200 stick already in the first slot and the second slot is empty in which i want to put a new one.
@CadillacComputerCenter3 жыл бұрын
Hi. You can certainly do what you suggest. Your memory will run at the slower speed. 2666mhz. In this type of laptop, you wont notice the difference. Adding more ram in general will increase your default page file size, which is fine. Dale

I have an ASUS TUF A15 gaming laptop sir. Will it be good on a gaming laptop considering the speed they offer?
@CadillacComputerCenter3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, for gaming, if you can, upgrade using a 3200mhz module. 2666 will still work. However. 3200 should give you better FPS. Dale.

Great video and also subscribed to your channel. I generally know how to get inside notebooks for memory and storage upgrade but am surely no master at it, nor in the business of upgrading. I generally prefer ASUS or Lenovo laptops as being less hassle for upgrades. I probably will not bother with HP any longer because of all the extra hassles just to upgrade, starting from those sticky screw cover strips. It seems like HP goes out of their way to keep the end user from upgrading. Do you have a recommendation for a notebook that can accommodate dual M.2 slots and memory slots for upgrades? I had a Lenovo X1 Extreme in the recent past and had both for dual upgradeability. Lenovo made that machine so easy to open and upgrade I am some disappointed I sold it, but technology advances annually if not biannually. Going forward, I am thinking in terms of USB4/TB4 ports x2 (minimum) and AMD 5000-series based on Zen3. I believe AMD gives a far better bang for the buck and giving Intel a run for their money. Thanks. Jerry.. Tokyo, Japan
