HPI E-Firestorm Flux 2S vs. 3S Comparison

Testing the HPI E-Firestorm on 2S and 3S. Both packs were identical Gens Ace 3300mAh 25C packs, just one was 2S and the other 3S.
A definitely noticeable difference between the two packs on this car, in my opinion.
Oh, and apologies for the small amount of finger showing in the corner of the screen on the first minute or so of 2S.

I have the new e firestorm flux and it does wheelie on 2s too, on 3s it's uncontrollable :) love it

Where you using the speed pack here or stock pinion and spur gear? Just bought it and I don't know if it's totally recommended for the electronics changing the pinion and so if you're gonna use a 3s lipo or it's safe using a 3s without changing it.

I got the new model it's basically the same as this and it is mental fast, I can pop wheelies at 50+mph with the 77 spur gear, great fun cars ain't they.

They're awesome, yes! It's annoying, because they released the new version about a month after I bought this. But nevermind, this one is still really fast!

ThatBoatGuyUK there is not much difference mate, I have both and they are virtually the same,speed wise there is hardly anything in it.

***** Oh really? According to HPI's advertising the new one does 77mph. That must be under very specific conditions though..

+ThatBoatGuyUK to make it go 77 all you have to do is install the "speed pack" and a 3s and it will do the 77mph

Have you gotten any after market body shells to fit that firestorm?

No, but I'm tempted by the Dirt Force body from HPI. It seems to be a real hard car to get bodies for. Maybe one from the equivalent Associated trucks would fit?

Not sure because of the shock towers. HPI bodies are nice just wanted to switch up a little on next body.

Marvelousod True. And yeah, I know that feel, lol. It's a shame HPI only do 4 bodies for the Firestorm. I don't even think Pro-Line do any, which kinda says something..

+mx brad woodall Hard to compare the two to be honest. They're worlds apart. Which do you prefer?

ThatBoatGuyUK well I prefer the traxxas but it is quite pricey, because I would like the vxl 4x4

They each have their pros and cons. The Firestorm is cheaper to buy and cheaper to repair if you break it, but then the Slash has a bit more off road capability than the Firestorm and is a bit faster. Up to you whether you think it's worth the £200 or so more than the Firestorm. It's a big price difference.
