Cool update. But just to let u know a few things. The motor is a castle rebrand and the esc is a hobbywing rebrand. And the shock threads are for stiffness not ride height. It was too loose so it was bottoming out while you were driving plus the weight of the battery. Shocks should be very stiff for on road cars. And I agree that it should be good out the box for the price but like I always say...we're paying for the electronics! Lol! Hpi comes with the best electronics. If u check out my last run video with this car I got 51mph out of it still stocked on 2s.

it's INSANE on 3s.. It needs a metal spur :-) I was never near full throttle, and it was flying even with throttle end point adjustment turned down. Also adjustable ball links, and those tamiya driveshafts, glueing tire inserts to both rim and tire have worked for me in the past, as far as ballooning goes, but I've only done that on 26mm's, so I don't really know :-P Love the electronics, and with some fixes and upgrades it's gonna be good. The front doggone are the biggest issue imo, hpi should've had better qc..

Funny u say metal gears...I've ran mod1 on my sprint2 before! I might go 32p on this if the 48p don't hold up for what I need.

Dan P Wut? 32p?? Lowest I`ve seen in a "real" rc is 48.. I used to have 64 on my corally C4 AND my yokomo YR4.. Never thought about changing pitch to handle torque.. Man you`re three years in I`ve been in this hobby for over 25 years now, ok I`ve had a few years break, but still, you`ve figured out a lot of stuff in 3 years. You must`ve had a lot of problems lol ;)

Have you also had the problem with the front driveshafts popping out? Between the poor mesh, stuck motormount screws and the doggone that don't fit, I don't see how they can call this rtr. I don't even understand how it could be shipped in this condition. Also I had to trim the front wheel arches, because rhythm the wheels were scraping the body. Also, on the underside of the chassis, the screws holding the motormount to the chassis are stuck as well.. I payed 320$ for this, and I'll need parts for another 100 to get it in decent running order :/

+jan christian Frodahl exactly same stuff happened to mine, shafts fall out becaus ethe turnbuckles get loose. they need to be upgraded to aluminum. which sadly they dont have yet
