'...I love the smell of Testor's enamels in the morning...' mmm what great memories! Long before I began using acrylic craft paints, I had a couple Testors paint carousels filled with little bottle paints, two bottles of brush cleaner and 'all the fixins'- good times... I can't count how many planes, cars and ships those saw me thru. Glad to see someone still uses at least a little enamel for old times sake! :)

I've got the earlier " rebel rouser" version of this kit..only bought it on clearance at hobby lobby just for the two figures..the driver works great in other cars too..just dug this kit back out..contemplating building it straight out the box ..just cause of this build video here..like I need start another..but I do enjoy watching these..love your paint techniques ..especially the black primer on everything..gonna have to try that method for a different approach ..I've always used grey primer..love your back story approach as well. I used to do that too on every build when I was younger..still kinda do..but not much as most of all my builds have been parts box gluebomb rebuilds.

Looking forward to the next video, and this was inspiring. Everytime you do a car, I want to do my version afterwards. That's pretty cool that it happens the way? See man, you do good things! great effect of the light red coat over the black primer. I'll master that technique yet. And why the silver marker on the chrome rather than a molotow pen? (After all I bought 3 of them after certain other of your videos)

Personal choice. I use molotow sometimes when I can wait for it to dry and sharpie for others when I need it dry instantly.

This kit is good. It could be even greater if AMT was to mod some parts, like modding the grill as to put transparent headlights and other things. Really good build as always. I do have a question for you. I bought a paint pen for my lettering. The paint dry correctly. However, the pen has a tendency of getting a HUGE drop of white paint on its tip which end up making huge blotches and making me have to remove the paint. Do you have any tips so this doesn't happen?

The Dodge Dart Sport(the name of the fastback coupe), originated as the Dodge Demon in 1971, but the Christian opposition in the deep south part of the U.S. objected to the name, so Chrysler(the parent company to Dodge & Plymouth), changed the name to Dart Sport for the 1973 model until 1976 when the Dodge Dart & Plymouth Valiant lines were discontinued.

Question. Being a new subscriber i must say your videos are rather full of tips n tricks. Ive learned alot watching your videos and attempt them with whatever model car i get next. My question tho, have you ever built army vehicles, M124A1 M-ATV - Ryefield #5032 - 1/35th, or the Firetruck that just came out. I kno they would take alot of time but id like to see your take on either one of those. Like i said, i love the videos, and watching the paint. Love the tunes u play. Just askin a random ??

hello another sharp build on the dart i think it'd be nice if amt or mpc would make a dart swinger i know they make racecar versions but i have never seen a regular road car version of the squre body swinger these were dart sport duster rear , swinger front anyway i have a question i was hoping you might be the man to ask i have a old 911 dodge van kit i got it used its painted like eggshell white but they put the decals on it fake windows and such do you know of anyway to get them off without sacrifice paint and if i wanted to remove paint and all back to plastic would the castrol purple take everything off i've only used it for dechroming but i know alot of people say it removes paint also but do you know if the decals being there would effect removing the paint if i go that way the paint looks good if i could just get the decals off lol any input would be greatly appreciated thank you ps classic plastic suggested awhile back soaking it in just plain warm water awhile but that was no luck they are on there lol

I bought the previous release of this kit a few years ago, the 76 dodge dart sport, and I remember being kind of disappointed with the quality. The body never sat right and the plastic felt rather flimsy. Would you say this kit is worth another shot? I would love to have a Spirit of '76 Dart on my shelf, but I don't know if I can justify spending $30 on a kit I don't remember being all that great.

I had no issues with the kit, you can see the parts in the video and what can be done, seems fine to me if we understand that old MPC kits are going to be simplistic.

I've got both a 1/24 and 1/64 Die Cast model of the 71 Duster 340 which was basically the same body as this Dart Sport kit...

I also have a 1/64 71 Dart Swinger in Die Cast which was more of a coupe body where this(and the 2 die cast Duster 340s I have) is more of a fastback body...

Never tried using rustolium paint till today. Got paint not going on as smooth as the testors paint. Whats your trick to getting it to look good?
