Just goes to show you don't need a lot of high end paints and tools to finish a model up- just about everything you need can be found around the house or in the craft section at Wal Mart. Why give companies like Tamiya top dollar for the same tools you'll find over in hardware or in health and beauty! :) Spend that extra money you save on another kit! :)

Good to know that such kind of modelling still exists, nowadays it tends to be highly equipment focused, beginners also think they need all those fancy airbrushes and name brand paint, ect... This is what modelling suppose to be, pure fun, creativity and improvisation... :)

The background stories for why your models are built the way they are, are great. I wonder if the complainers ever watch/listen to your video to the end. You know, where you say "to build them the way you want to".

Yet another great build/review. Couldn’t wait to see this one. Yes, the door panels are for multiple Mopar interiors of that time. The Color Me Gone Dodge 330 particularly, uses the “smooth” door panels. Anyway, I love the mild weathered flavor with the Slant six. Very cool!

Hello, nice job. The one I did was the first issue and I think it had a radio in it. I used the 426 and used the cross ram intake 2, 4 barrel intake from the 1949 mercury kit from AMT and posted it on a web site and got 5 stars for it and great reviews. It is black with a red interior like the one I saw on the inter net I really like your build. thank you very much for it.

@ronaldhuff6354 жыл бұрын
glad you decided to do this kit, it is very similar to the richard petty kit that i bought years ago but did not build, i still have the dash insert from that kit, that kit came with the hemi, but it seems to me that there was some difference, that being the door panels, seems to me that in that kit the window cranks were on the chrome tree, and there were recesses in the door panels that could be painted body color for that super stock drag car, nice thing though i can cut them off and make the recesses with a drill bit, sadly, in the changeover, amt did not include the racing exhaust that was in the lindberg version, they are almost identical, and i wish i could find the richard petty version to kit bash with this one, ( i have three) so i could make a drag car with a hemi, a max wedge car, with this ones included 426 wedge, and a grandmas grocery getter like us older guys would have gotten for high school daily drivers, as usual, nice job on this

Chris, your weathering skills are top notch and something I aspire to. I know your closing monologue regarding haters was directly aimed at that person who trolled your videos just to spread negativity. As I said on your Facebook page, you have far more fans than haters and we all enjoy your work and content! Your channel brought me back to the hobby, which is why I post my project progress on your page. Once I get past my guitar business venture, I will be back on my models and currently have a couple new projects in the works soon. One of which is gonna be the International Payhauler 350 that I know is a upcoming video and build from you (I very much look forward to that!). Just remember to paint that Detroit hot pink (I mean Detroit Alpine Green) so the Bus Grease Monkey doesn't haunt your dreams lololol.

I did exactly this! It’s so hard to find kits with 6’s, most kits are just hero type cars (muscle cars, hot rods, luxury cars) and unfortunately most only come with v8’s.. I personally prefer economy cars like the pickups and this Belvedere and the dodge 330 I just picked up, because they’re the type of classic cars I prefer.. anyways, decided not to use the slant as it went in the 330 and my father-in-law fired up the 3D printer and made me a later slant with the emissions stuff on it to make it look more correct
