Great topic. I talked to an HPSP recruiter when I started CRNA school. It's probably the only option I found that will actually pay for school and your living expenses. They sent me the initial packet and the paperwork was unreal. I ended up going a different route but it's a great option.

Awesome video!! I am in the Army National Guard and work for a medical detachment. I work with Dr's, PA's, NP's, RN's, and even dentists. A good majority of them have told me that if they were to do things over, they would go the CRNA route. I will be trying to get into the Army CRNA program, but this HPSP seems like an awesome route as well. I have never heard about it, so it's a pleasant surprise. Don't tell anyone I said it, but Airforce is the way to go. 😂😂 I look forward your future videos about the program.

I am currently startings interviews for CRNA school (YAY!). I want to go the HPSP route since i am a mother of 4 and have not gotten the chance to save a whole bunch. What does the 3 years of commitment look like afterwards? I know pay will be lower than other places, but the benefits make up for it, I'm more questioning deployments.

Have you done a video about the process of getting in touch with the right recruiters and the questions to ask to make sure you received the best information available? I ask because I was accepted to a DNAP program starting August this year and I've started looking into the HPSP, but there are sooooo many questions and not a lot of information about pursuing this for CRNA school. Thank you for the video you've already done!

Aisha SRNA well I'm in the very beginning phase. I'm finishing some my my prerequisite for med school & will start studying for the MCAT. However, I have talked to a healthcare recruiter for the Navy & the Air Force email me & I plan to talk to them. I'm still trying to decide between the Navy or Air Force 😩!! I'm trying to ask myself which branch would be better for me (in terms of deployment...can I handle life on the ship (the USNS Mercy or Comfort)). I'm excited however for this journey!! Overall I'm doing pretty good!! How are you?! Sorry it took me so long to reply!!😅

Did you consider other branches and did you consider something like usagpan or usuhs? Also, do you get paid the same amount for the entire year or only when you’re in school so on breaks you get paid less ( that’s how the gi bill is)
@AishaCRNA6 жыл бұрын
Hey! Awesome questions (you must have prior service). So I never considered other branches. And also never considered any military programs. I wanted to go to a civilian school, specifically Duke. As for pay... I am paid the same amount while I am in school except for during certain months where I am paid as if I am active duty.

You mentioned NO drill time while obtaining your degree? I was told I would have to uphold an RN nursing M.O.S. along with drills. Once done with school on the civilian side I would be processed for CRNA status/M.O.S. is this correct?

Hi, found your you tube channel and would like to ask a few questions if you don’t mind. I am now getting my BSN but am working now with my Associates. My plan is to finish school by next year March and begin applying for the Air Force also whilst working in the ICU. Along side working in the ICU and applying for the Air Force I would apply for CRNA school also hopefully to get in by the next year. Please help me. Am I getting this all right? Or any suggestions? Because I wanted to get in as an officer and also get help with school payment also.

Is it expensive going to school for a bsn? I’m trying to decide if I should go that route first or go do the airforce reserves first, since I’m about to graduate with my associates.
@AishaCRNA5 жыл бұрын
If you are able to take advantage of educational benefits as a reservist, I would seek that route (personally). But not all BSNs are expensive. PLUS, usually your place of employment will fund you!
@Lina-uk8ru5 жыл бұрын
Well my husband is getting stationed in another state and I graduate with my associates in Sociology, so I wouldn’t have a job yet, that would fund me. I’m really just trying to take the best route where I don’t owe a whole bunch of money.
