There should be an option to enter the network folder path from the "Scan To Network Folder" section of the web interface. This option is not present. For anyone curious, you need to open "Contacts" and add a new address book contact. You will have the option to set this contact up as a network shared folder.

Yup. Now of course that option requires you to go through 16 options to perform a scan. So back to the unreliable Scan to Computer option we go. Brother, you ask? Create a shortcut on the main screen. One touch scanning and done.

Now I'm stuck on "Installing network device" and it doesn't appear to be doing anything. Unable to find printer. Even though the software just found it in the previous steps. Brother, you ask? You set it up for a client and you never hear from them again until it's so worn out from doing consistent and successful printing and scanning that it's time to retire it.

Had to pull teeth just to get to an option where I could type in an IP address since the auto discover claimed it wasn't connected to the network.

@@HPSupport my product is: HP Color LaserJet MFP M183fw (31C613) I cant see the tab „scan“ after entering the IP in the browser. my tabs are: Home, System, Print, Fax, Copy, Networking and HP Web Services But it looks diffrent then in the video, the tabs are on the top and not on the left site

@ hello thank you for replying, but it still dont work. I cant find the tab „scan“ it dont show up for me, i can scan documents via app on my smartphone but my goal is to have a paperless office, i would like to scan all my documents so i can have them on my pc sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand what i mean

I am Getting this error when i want to add shared folder on HP M3035. The mfp user account id ’shahi’ has insufficient network access privilege on this system for Windows LogonUser authentication to take place.
