Outstanding work hp tuners.. but is the E99 computer able to be flashed by people who don’t have performance shops… I normally tune my own cars and my friends vehicles.. will I be able to tune my own C8 computer or will I have no choice but to bring it to a performance shop

In other words, you'd have to work with one of these dealers to upgrade your controller (email us at [e-mail] to get connected with a dealer if you're interested). The cost to unlock the ECM/TCM and pay for credits for a tune is the closest thing to straight robbery. We need someone else to come out and compete against HP tuners, they have the monopoly right now.

You should've asked him "so when you first heard hp tuners would offer for $500-$700 they'd "unlock" your ecm after you take it out and dont drive it for a week or 2+, so that we can relock it behind our code only to work with our software and send it back to you needing $400 more in credits to start tuning it to find out you need $400 more to do your tcm amd possibly will have to send that off too" ? Hp is only worth it for

@tampablackwing lol that was an intoxicated rant about how much more it cost me to tune my 5.3 in my 2019+ than everything before it. Because 2019 to 2023 have the same ecm. Because they can, and because they lost hella profits from being hacked so easily. Point is they could "unlock" on site like others do, also since you have to send it in and pay 600 for an unlock I shouldn't also then have to buy 8.......8 more credits just to tune it. That's another 400, and then 8 more (lol) for the tcm. If I had a 2018, same truck I could just buy 4 credits and start tuning same motor!.....
