Agreed this sounds weird but his death killed me. I know there is alot of actors who died back in the day John Candy for instance but Robin's had me crying so hard. Even when it reaches his anniversary I still lose it.

Could you imagine interviewing him and maintaining composure? I would just lose it with laughter until I couldn't ask another question...period....ellipsis. period.

Never racist, never homophobic, never anti-America, never sexist. The man was and always will be a genius no matter he did (acting in a non-comedic movie or standing on stage doing stand-up), he will forever be remembered and will never be forgotten🙏

It's so difficult to hear him talk about his health scare and how it made him appreciate things "like breathing" and then 4 years on he's lost his battle with depression. Such a wonderful human being who made everyone's life a little brighter. The man is my childhood. Rest in peace, Sir. Rest in peace.
@skullee863 жыл бұрын
It wasn't just depression. He also had Lewy Body dementia and MSA. MSA is multiple system atrophy. Towards the end of his life he was breaking. He couldn't keep it together. He would be talking to a friend and burst into tears. Then later he'd apologize. A friend suggested that he go do some comedy at a club. He told that friend "I can't do it anymore." The "it" was comedy. And for a comedian as talented as him, that realization must've been devastating. So sad. I miss him dearly. RIP Mr. Williams.

Me too! That's what made him so good at improvising, but it must have been hard to deal with when he wasn't performing. I would think that having a mind like that could make you almost manic, like you could never just calm down and rest. I guess it was a gift and a curse at the same time...

i suddenly realised something watching jonathan ross hug him extra special long: it must have been pretty lonely being him. i mean, his level of comic ability and engagement with people constantly must have made everyone take to him instantly. and what were they really taking to? an idea. a presentation. something to make them feel better about themselves. not their faults-lots of affection, but all of it throwing into sharp focus how utterly alone we all are, even when surrounded by a room full of people. even when you want to love people. sometimes, especially because you want to love people.
