I converted my Pilot with spare parts to make it shoot short dart. I also removed the air restrictors and added a second spring. It now fire around 130FPS. It I didn’t mod things I would buy a solo.

You can also get those short dart conversion drop-in kits which take less than a minute to install. 🙂

Yes, lighter darts have that effect.

Lighter darts like the Bamboo 2X tend to artificially inflate FPS figures across all blasters. But whatever makes you happy. 🙂

As for the price, it's unfair to blindly look at number when HQ S1 is make of metal, meaning more durable and lasting. The paint job is also good. Not those kind of cheap paint which can be easily chip off.

I have heard feedback the paint at the lower grip will chip off because the metal ring slams against it after every shot. Nevertheless, full metal kind of justifies the hefty price.

@@AaronPlinks So far no issue for mine. I got the silver and red one. You can definitely feel the premium of the paint job. It's quite a thick layer on it.
