Hrad/Castle Rabí Drone View 4K | DJI Mini 4 Pro

Castle Rabí is the biggest castle ruins in Czechia.
Castle was build in the first half of the 14th century but we do not know exact origins. At the end of the 14th century the local fort was signifcantly expanded which was a magnificent work of its time.
In the Hussite wars owners were actively opposing Hussites. The outcome were two sieges in 1420 and 1421 lead by Jan Žižka of Trocnow the biggest Hussites military commander. The sieges were both successful but Jan žižka lost an eye during the siege.
After the wars the owners were compensated for the damage of the castle.
By the beginning of the 16th century the castle was rebuilt in gothic styl which we can see today.
Soon after the castle changed many owners and subsequest 30 year war started the downfall of the castle.
During the 18th century the castle burned down causing all wooden parts gone. Local people used the stone from desolate castle for their own houses.
First attempt to safe the castle already started in mid of the 19th century. The castle was saved and repaired in the first half of the 20th century.
The castle is in state possesion since 1954 and proclaimed as national cultural ladmark in 1978.
