Truxton II / Tatsujin Oh - FM Towns Marty V's Arcade

Tatsujin Oh played on my Marty console Vs the arcade original.
Marty: Hardware capture. Arcade: Mame recording.
Fantastic conversion by Ving. Not perfect thought.
Missing one layer
Has a zoomed in play field (everything's a bit bigger)
Scrolls a little a faster (probably because of the above)
Bit of slowdown during big explosions/hectic moments.
Sometimes the slowdown is welcome making it easy to weave through heavy fire...
And than suddenly back to full speed possibly sending you into enemy fire.
I'm just nit picking. Probably has no slow down on a faster FM Towns system and is still a fantastic conversion!

Amazing how Tatsujin/Truxton got 2 console ports, while Tatsujin Oh/Truxton 2 only saw this non-console port. The game is a lot better IMO than the first game, and yet it got stuck to the FM Towns Marty.

Kinda funny, seems like the FM Towns port should easily be capable of 1:1 - that's 80386-based kit with a VGA-esque GPU... should easily outdo the Arcade's 68k-based hardware, in theory.

Does the FMTM normally exclude tate modes or is this title an exception? Amazing machine regardless, want one!

I owned a fm towns marty and put it aside quickly and lately sold it off. Buy the pcs instead, they support rgb and have a much more clear and vivid image. Also they come in faster megahurtz.

The FM Towns could have easily pushed some underneath parallax scrolling.

Marty haven't the parallax effect, but still very good

FMT version seems a little stretched vertically. Is it really like this on original hardware, or was it just a video capture (or emulation) thing?

I own this version also, and have enjoyed it on the real FMTM. It does seem a little zoomed in, and in fact some enemies shoot at you from just beyond the top of the screen. Blame the lower vertical res. of FMT's yoko (damn the lack of Tate). You will see these enemies first in the arcade before they start shooting. Some parallax is missing, too. All that aside, it's a good port.

what is (was) too hardcore about the Truxton ll or 2 arcade game? the Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive seemed to handle the original Truxton arcade game well either a 32-bit, 64-bit, 128-bit console could handle Truxton ll arcade game

Considering the Saturn had games like DoDonPachi, Soukyugurentai, and Battle Garegga, I'd hardly call any game too hardcore for a console release.

持ってたわ達人王🛩️ 今まで買ったゲーム機のハードで唯一これだけローンで買ったわ(笑) FM TOWNS MARTY本体💰 高かったからな…💧 本体と共に同級生ってエロゲも買ったんだが…何とMARTY非対応(泣) (　ＴДＴ)🎮 MARTYでは遊べませんって箱に書いとけよッ！💢💢 殆ど買ったのエロゲばっかだが(笑)シューティングも幾つか買ったな 達人王、飛翔鮫、Ku２＋＋、究極タイガー…究極タイガー以外は他機種の家庭用ハードでは出てなかったっけ確か 麻雀も出来ないのにエロ画面が見たくて雀JAKA雀も買ったな(笑)
