Roshan's first leading role came opposite Ameesha Patel in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), a highly successful romantic drama directed by his father, for which he won two Filmfare Awards-Best Male Debut and Best Actor.
Fiza (2000)

The film Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage & Na Tum Jaano Na Hum suffered from bad reviews and was commercially unsuccessful. Mujhse Dosti Karoge was heavily hyped before release due to the A list cast resulting in excessive media focus on the film. It however was Super Hit at the Indian box office.
