An interpretation full of energy, explosive, very brilliant, with a great vitalism, who reveal all the detail of this famous Mendelssohn Symphony.

Bravo! The orchestra played with perfect balance and great clarity. The bassoon part was never submerged in the overall wind sound and I heard the inner strings--second violins and violas--as never before. And the stunningly wild tempo of the fourth movement, which is, after all, a wild dance, showcased an orchestra of virtuosi. A truly amazing performance.

As with this conductor and my favored online orchestra in their performance of Mendelssohn's 3rd Symphony, the "Scotch," I found this delightful rendition of the 4th, "Italian," thoroughly enjoyable, played with such exuberance, sensitivity and finesse. And as usual excellent production values throughout. Orozco-Estrada seems to have a uniquely nice touch for Mendelssohn. Bravo. It would be that much nicer yet if together they might do the 5th, "Reformation", as well.
