How are school breaks divided in Australia?

it varies school to school! but mine is a 20min recess and a 40min lunch

@@perlapamela2023the school year follows the calendar year, so generally the school year starts around late jan, early feb. the year is divided into four terms, each consisting of about ten weeks of school and then a two week break in the middle. so we have 2 weeks of autumn holidays(usually coincides with easter) two weeks of winter holidays (early-mud july) and two weeks of spring holidays(late spring-early october) and then around mid december is when we get a six week summer holidays (we also have christmas at this time)

我是一名台灣的學生，因爲家庭的原因導致我國中九下就要去澳洲讀高中，也正因爲我英文是主科中最差的，所以我真的很害怕去了那邊的英文問題，家人説我會先去都語言學校，但是在幾個月内將英文提示到日常使用的水平我是覺得很困難，我也希望你能給我一些建議，讓我更瞭解澳大利亞，我作爲國民，卻從來沒有在那念過書，真的很擔心入學高中的情況。

哈咯哈咯，抱歉九个月后才刷到，澳洲的话华人和亚洲人其实也不少不用太担心。但是我觉得要学流利语言要从说做起，比如比起和身边的人去说你的母语，试着多说英文也不错，或者尝试交一些和你主要说英语的朋友。其次就是多试着走出舒适区，有很多人就是因为不敢去冒险，不会去闯才走不出想走的路的。然后关于英语语言的话 我还是觉得初学干背一大堆单词的效率不高，个人认为只要说顺溜了才会带来更多的自信，比如英语local背景的婴儿也肯定是先从发音学起，逐渐越说越多之后才熟练起来，再来背单词就是锦上添花。最后就是去做你擅长和你喜欢的事。澳洲有些学校的高中自选课很多，一定一定要选自己做学着舒服的课，或者自己真的想要发展下去的课。不要太担心，努力一定有回报，祝你一切好运。
