Always shocks me how much wasted space there is in cities. Have no problem building on green belt and all across the countrilyside but have swathes of brownfield land unused in the cities

Errr ... so you haven't seen the billions going into the northern cities like Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, York and Sheffield etc? Northern powerhouse Rail mean anything? This was announced last October: "The North will receive £19.8 billion to link its major cities - with more than £2 billion for a brand-new rail station at Bradford, halving journey times to Manchester. Funding of £2.5 billion will ensure delivery of a West Yorkshire Mass Transit System for Leeds and the wider area, providing better connections to Bradford and Wakefield" Nothing for Leeds? Like the "West Yorkshire Mass Transit System for Leeds" is nothing Tim?

@@1chish promises , empty promises , the last 14 years of empty promises for infrastructure in the north , no new station for Bradford, an upgrade of the existing line across the Pennines that will not meet demand today never mind the future . @@1chishthe west Yorkshire mass transit system is a tram line connecting central Leeds to Bradford. It’s not actually Leeds own tram systsem, which was promised in the early 200s but later cancelled
