I scarcely recognise it, but in February 2018 I photographed that road, the old hedgerow with gnarled ivy covered stumps of ancient trees descending into the valley, the stand of willows in the bottom by the River Ouse, over the line of old railway, up the far side towards Mixbury with its noble Scots pines alongside another old railway and that lone ash tree at the meeting place of bridleways. What a transformation! I wonder why it is that railways very quickly become old

I first saw that overbridge a year or so ago, it now turns out to be a temporary one! To my untrained eye, I ask myself why.. it looks functional and perhaps carries across utilities. But the one they’re building is on a different scale!! I trust the old railway is still visitable. Thanks for watching. 👍
