First flying south, then turning round to give a view towards the M6 - fascinating to see the new railway formation emerging, threading through the built-up areas and swapping roads around as the shape of the post-construction sites steadily emerges. Great to see at 3:35 how the line will fly over the new box above the M42. Also the greenery is reasserting itself where construction has finished. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for this - it is the first video of this section I have seen for a while. The progress is really interesting. The earlier road realignments and landscaping are all blending in well. As others have said this is going to be a very important section forming the interchange to Birmingham Airport.

I walked this in August 2018. There was machinery, conveyors and crushers rusting at the southern end, an abandoned railway, a stream among trees, up a hill into a big field with pylons and a mast. In the corner along a pretty lane, the entrance to a dirt bike track. The land dropped through scrub, passed a deserted farm, more pylons, then in the corner on the diagonal, the route met a flyover roundabout across the M42. How strange, it's not quite all gone. The stream is there, but the trees are not, the pylons are there, but the mast is not, the lane is there, so is the entrance to the dirt bike track, but the huts have gone. The deserted farm and the M42 are there, but the roundabout that spanned it has completely disappeared

I think this is the first time that I've seen footage of what will become Interchange Station _ main build contract is yet to start but enabling work is still going on _ pilling rig & crane by M42 for bridge over M42 _ it's closed there next weekend (1_4 November)_ listed as work to facilitate peir construction as hs2 heads towards Deelta junction _ going to be a big development once Arden Cross masterplan begins on that area _ liked that video👏 look forward to your next installment

There probably won't be as many drone videos (from anyone) of the interchange site as other parts of the build, as due to its proximity to Birmingham Airport, it's well within the Flight Restriction Zone - and many drone operators don't want to go to the hassle of seeking written permission from ATC before they can fly.

Yes _ I'd heard that _ but I hope that doesn't discourage drone operation _ going to be interesting few years around there_ just hopeful they can get the necessary paperwork as & when required _ time will tell on that
