at 7:00 he first talks about the homework being easy, then says 你的作业呢？带了么？right? so he is asking the whereabouts of Xiao Li's homework and doesn't ask about the difficulty of it? or is 你的作业呢 part asking about the difficulty? the book says ...呢 sentences are about asking whereabouts, so I'm confused.

呢 is for asking same question with reply. First he is telling his homework is not easy then he is asking about what about your homework (It was easy or not)

Nope, it's wrong! He's NOT asking if Xiao Li's homework was easy or not! He says: 小丽 你的作业呢？带了吗？ So he is asking WHERE IS YOUR HOMEWORK? DID YOU BRING IT?! There are so many mistakes in these books starting with HSK 1! At first I thought there was something wrong with me, but then I asked Chinese friends or teachers and they also said these answers are wrong! And I am talking about the original books! I downloaded the answers for HSK2 from their official website! So many mistakes! 😕@@Lathenia

as he was telling homework was very easy so in that context he is asking his homework to know if it was easy for him or not. if the other person brought his homework it means it was easy for him too.
