Igneous rock... What the hell? I've been learning English for 2/3rds of my life and never even came across such words, why are you introducing them here? Somehow I doubt they're in the most common 2500 words used in Mandarin.

It's from the reading of lesson 5 of the HSK Standard course textbook. For HSK 5 and 6 they expect you to know more than what's in the curriculum.

Very good lectures but, IMHO, you keep making a mistake by paraphrasing Mandarin with English sentences. A metaphrase, direct, literal translations would be far more useful to language learners.
