HSPs come in different flavors: 70% are introverts, 30% are extraverts, and then there are sensation seekers. Here is how these differences affect your relationships.

You are so informative. I just found you yesterday and my whole life I thought there was something wrong with me. Love your research and the science behind it.

This is especially true for me...I am a high sensation seeker and a highly sensitive person..and an extravert. I'm also an ENFP, which means that I have a lot of energy, am very curious and seek novelty and nuance all the time. Thank you for your research. I cannot believe there are scientific terms for my being. It's so validating and hopeful!

This is great news/info. At 65 yrs., I’ve done a lifetime of learning, healing & growth .. my life has been saved, relationships have been saved, AND I’ve also learned the GREAT lesson of healing (w/ Jungian clinical counsellor) to set healthy boundaries. Just now finding out how much I relate to being an extroverted HSP. Ohhh .. the depth of processing 😵‍💫. I research everything. I go deep in conversation when Z8talk to others, fluffy/surface talk is not for me, at least not for long 😝 I want to explore feelings, emotions.. talk about how people/humans deal w/ obstacles/adversity/challenges ..do they overcome, do they hide & get depressed. We’re all different & our souls have differing lessons to learn on this physical life journey .. FASCINATING ❣️ HOWEVER, others don’t always share my excitement.. I get blank looks when I talk what’s really in my mind/heart. Too deep for most I guess.. I’m a great friend, but don’t have many - I’m good with that b/c, as an HSP, I now understand why.. I certainly need down/alone time.I meditate, do online courses, read growth books - reading HSP in alive now. I’m also a double master #11 (numerology) which is a challenge with wonderful gifts .. much like being HSP. For both I need to get out of my head & comfort zone more … serve others to get my sense of purpose/meaning/contribution. Thanks for your work.. This is life changing in that I UNDERSTAND myself better & am easier on me - 💝 what a gift

Read you when you first published. Now learning that we are susceptible to narcissistic exploitation as we are so sensitive to the others needs. I am in the middle extro intro in Meyers Briggs. Good insight as to wanting high sensation but not being able to handle much. I use doctoral hours in Transformative Learning and Change to mentor and write from an epigenetic view of well being. Very glad to re-find you.

As an introverted HSP/HSS, things get a bit complicated! 😆😅 I’ve never had a relationship because I can never find someone that meshes well with this...

You sound so unique and fun! Don't give up, it's out there! I had a wonderful relationship with a hsp who is both introverted and a seeker! Go to unique places, follow your passions and you'll find them ❤

This makes more sense, I'm good at safety even though my dopamine needs to be fed most of the time. I sometimes wonder how other people that have high energy like me are prone to get some injury. Now I know! Thank you!

Bought your audio book and listening it now ,my neuropsychologist says me that I am hsp Did also test from hsp association in Russia via internet and hsp assosiation Belgium. Both was positive result. It tells me the reason why I hate hearing my mom and bf :stop taking everything by heart, stop being so sensitive, you are too naive, openharted. I know it officially one year, but living with no understanding all my life. Like I watch others being in movie. (Stress give me not often panic attacks, hiperventilation or psychological breakdown(when I cry and cant stop and cant be calm ) often I was victim of bully's , in childhood had a lot vriend. But best only 1 always. Sensitieve to everything, fast eritated by seeing everydetail person do in sounds, mimics, words, intonation and see it in full picture after, breaking my personal space, sun in eyes, smoaking people or food making, cant listening music to loud and being long time around people without being exausted also epilepsy since 10. Mbti: infp-t 4w5 ( 4 by % on 1 place,7 second,5 third,6 four)melancolic-sanguinine ( think) claustrophobic. My mom and her motief was always fast getting mad at others , like someone just them falling eazy( mom is sanguinine),dat is like me talk to people when he ready(he was at childhood or to sweet and dating and funky or very strikt and loud, butpassive(only if mama ask him to do something he did,but no iniciative)my mom is very strong woman, dad more quet and shy. Me shy, sociale introvert, but initiatie and flexibel, difficult to say no, always stand on my,go to compromisses and open and love being alone to recharge. I think that my dat can be hsp, i heard that when he was child and was come to home with tears and tell dad that he was bullied, his dat raid hem if he not dropping to cry that he gonna bully him too. Can it be that my dad blocked emotions inside, because i hear that everything is fine from hem always. He is to mistirious for me, i see simularities in us, so also in my mom even She is more extraverted but say is enthusiastic .

you are not alone, we are all over this planet, and our reason for being is because we look for dangers, to keep us alive, we are the ones who will see danger and tell it before it happens, stay strong, even though i know how you feel, cry at anything sad, sunlight too bright, noise hurts, bright lights hurt my skin, but i also feel good things, i can feel music in my skin, i can see music like frequency , i also feel the good people, i stay away from the bad as best i can. it is a hereditary so your dad probably did have it, but suffered and tried to block it. epilepsy can be healed with cannabis oil if you can get it, or grow it yourself, i dont know your laws in your country, but try to find it. we are all here for a reason, one day, you will find your reason my friend
