Mississippi Puppy Mill Raid

The Humane Society of the United States, at the request of the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department, led a rescue on July 13 of more than 100 dogs from a puppy mill operation in Carriere, Miss. Local residents had reported concerns about conditions at Sea Breeze Kennels, which had been advertising puppies for sale through classifieds and the Internet.

Whenever I see ppl looking at puppies at pet stores I want to tell them to go to Humane Society. When I'm able I tell them a mixed breed is now worth $300?! I'll explain that I've gotten all my pets from HS for 20yrs.. What I prefer is they make sure the animal is healthy, they send med home if they aren't to finish w their ailment. The price covers neutralizing the animal. & they will also microchip the animal & deworm, shots, etc. Plus the HSs I go to give a 5# bag of food. The best way to shut down puppy mills is by finding out where pet store puppies come from, but then going to to HS. They sterilize pets as young as 8 wks old! You'd never have to worry about it! 🐕 😺😺

My son commented, "How come there has to be so much PUBERTY happening?" I laughed, almost chocking on my water, & peeing on the recliner! I told him, "First I need to use the bathroom so I don't pee myself! Then I'll come & explain to you about PUBERTY! LOL!" Well I told him the word he was looking for was POVERTY. He agreed. I told him PUBERTY is what happened when kids reached teen years & suddenly know more then their parents. 😸😸

my current dog was an old puppy mill breeder, we got her from the shelter and the vet at the shelter told me she had many neglected problems when they got her, she's a senior dog, just got spayed at the age of ten and her female reproductive system shows a lot of signs that she was used to have a lot of puppies. i never really knew much about this until i got her, and when i started watching videos it made me cry a lot, she's the sweetest, loveable dog at as a senior dog my goal is to make the rest of her life a happy, spoiled one. i dont have any children, so to me she is my daughter

Thank you all who saved these precious lives. While so many are out there taking care of these animals and finding them and rescuing, I want to know where the backside is! I want to know who goes back and teaches these people! And I'm not talking about learning I'm talking about taking them out! That's the only way you're going to stop it! For many years of my life this is all I have ever witnessed! The thousands that have been rescued, hundreds of thousands.if you would do the backlash that I believe in you never would have came to hundreds of thousands! Back when my family moved to a home from an apartment we wanted to get a dog and searched the newspaper. When we finally decided on the breed we wanted my dad called and we set up to go pick up our new pup. When we got her she her sisters were kept outside for very long because her paws looked burned (We live in a hot state) and she looked skinny where you can see her ribs a bit. I was too young to know about things like this but I remember asking the beader and she just said "She was just too excited to see you to eat!" My dad bought the dog and we took her home (He doesn't speak English well so didn't understand my concerns). She died years later from some illness even though she was an inside dog and we gave her plenty of food. :( Please do not support puppy mills. Please adopt, don't buy!

You guys are just extraordinary with your love and dedication to saving these animals. Laws governing the sale of animals are futile and pathetic and fuel this abhorrent behaviour by inhuman and despicable humans whose only mission is money. All the platforms on Social media should be forced to ban animal advertising and those caught breaking the law need to be dealt with in the severest manner. Hello! Yes, after a rescue all of the animals are taken to an emergency shelter where they receive proper veterinary care. After this they are sent to shelters where they will be adopted into a loving forever home :)

Seems like many cases of puppy mill terror and animal cruelty/neglect come from Mississippi and other southern states. Are there more people in the south who have less regard for life? Maybe we should send this particular video to Whoopie Goldberg. She bought a puppy mill dog, said some of them are good and she's all about her own rights. Yeah, screw the dogs! What the HSUS representative said so succinctly at the very end is true, and it's what Goldberg turns a blind eye to: when you buy a puppy mill dog (even when Goldberg thinks their place looked nice), you're supporting all of them, making this cruelty and suffering possible. Good actress, but a big mouth, abrasive, selfish needs. At least she's consistent: she once also mouthed off about how she thinks she should be able to smoke right outside the doors where she works, where everyone else has to run the gauntlet of her secondhand smoke... she doesn't care about them, either, didn't think she should have to go to a designated area when it might be raining. Her needs always come first. Whoopie dear, there's a difference between one's rights and one's social responsibilities. You got the first one down, but now how about the other: compassion for others? It's called "social responsibility."
