i'm a holding fan and have nothing against them but only two things i don't like about the car and that is the rear end, its not bonkers anymore like the old ones it just looks normal and narrow in a way. And the second thing is that click button handbrake thing, it just ruins the fun doing handbrake turns and all that fun stuff but apart from that is a nice car and i love the engine.

The VE and VF models have absolutely nothing to do with Opel. They are Zeta platform cars, designed in Australia by Holden. The only cars that have used this platform are VE - VF Commodores and 2010-13 Camaros. The V-platform used for VB-VZ Commodores was originally an Opel design, but Holden stopped using it in 2006. Do some research before you make any more stupid comments. If you are going to be a troll, at least be an educated troll.

So to look at the boost gauge for the supercharger or the oil pressure, you have to take your eyes completely off the road by having to look down and turn your head to read them correctly or is this information on the dashboard in front of you?.

Have you ever driven a car with electric power steering? Do you know how it works? Do you understand how any power steering works? What is the difference between using a hydraulic pump / hydraulic actuator system to using an electric motor? It is a lot easier to control an electric motor to improve road feel etc due to speed, acceleration, braking, etc.

the chevrolet is the same as the commodore ss. which i believe comes with the safety features, unsure about the understeer and whatnot. the ss will either come with an ls3 or l99.

I would love that too but don't hold your breath. GM execs likely think the GTS would steal sales from the ZL1. IMO, this car is far cooler than the ZL1. We'll be lucky if GM ever let's us have a Chevy SS with a manual!

falcs93 does have a point man, I'm a Holden/HSV man too but I can't stand the look of this thing. HSV's gone back to the old days of added bit and pieces to the car again. They've gone down hill ever since the E2. E1 is the best looking HSVs ever.

It weighs about 20kg less than the ZL1 Camaro, which has the same platform and the same engine. The Camaro does 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, so 0-100 km/h would be about 0.1 slower. All I have read so far is that it will be less than 4.5 seconds for 0-100km/h.

You can buy a far better 4door SCV8 than this though,2014-17 Cadillac CTS-V. I would have brought a CTS-V instead of one of these in 2015 if they were available in RHD from the factory. This is only using the same engine, transmission, suspension and tech from the 08-11 CTS-V

It is a GM engine, not a "Chevy" engine. But you are partly correct, The ZL1 Camaro uses the same engine as the Gen-F HSV GTS.

For the $100,000 I personally would buy another car. Maybe 2nd had G-TR or even 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA4. The CLA will be about $15-$20k cheaper and is AWD. It instills a bit of aussie pride.

No, they were simply a better tyre for the GenF in testing over the equivalent offerings from Bridgestone, Dunlop and Pirelli. Holden also never ended its relationship with Bridgestone until the last VF series 2 come off the line in 2017
