In this video, we correct and protect the Poison Ivy Green finish on this right hand drive HSV Club Sport R8 Tourer. The Holden Special Vehicles ClubSport, HSV ClubSport or “Clubby” is a Performance modified Full-Sized Sedan (and later, also station wagon) produced by Holden’s in-house tuning company Holden Special Vehicles based on the Holden Commodore, Introduced in 1989, the Clubsport would become HSVs mainstay entry level HSV model, The concept of the Clubsport is basically a Commodore SS, with a stylish bodykit, new (usually) Small Block V8, Customised interior, Exhaust kit, Lights and more, or less, depending on the series. I used to look after my employers 355 F1 Ferrari , that was good fun, and i also was lucky enough to look after a ladies new Maserati La Vante when it was new and there were only the two of them in South Australia.. All good fun and enjoyable.

Watching from Australia. Pretty stoked to see you guys getting the chance to work on one of those. A huge favourite for us Aussies. A wagon too! Even rarer. The owner must love driving it over there. I want to add that your videos, and in particular your review of the Oberk Sole, helped rescue the paint on my Holden. It’s a dual cab Ute version of your Pontiac GTO. (Joshes Car Corner channel, he is building a left hand drive one in the US) I bought some, used it and was amazed at how easy that stuff is to use. What a result. I wasn’t as taken with the Oberk polish. I’m going to go back through your videos and see if there’s some about choosing DA speeds as you work a panel. Great video yet again.

It was fun to work on. As for polisher speed.. it is normally between the 3rd to 4th speed setting.

Truly a rare jewel and you treated it that way!!! Responding to your question - this is the type of vehicle I love to see in videos - something rare that isn't necessarily exotic. Beautiful car! I own a Brazen Orange Metallic 2006 Pontiac GTO (GM’s version of the Holden Monaro). I’ve seen a Holden UTE at our Susquehanna Valley Pontiac show held in August, but never the Clubman. Would love to have this vehicle shown. Oh, and good job as usual!

When it comes to PPF… polish and compound dust is a no-no. The PPF is applied first.

Paint correction dust is a huge no. The film goes down first. The correct the rest.
