HTC One M8 Dot View Case: a great idea and a bad case

He forgot to mention that if your hands are dirty, you'll get dirt inside the dots because of swiping up and down, which will make it feel dirty. You wouldn't want a dirty case wouldn't ya?

For every one dogging the dot view case just open the app the have for it. You are able to adjust settings and also make a custom background while the case is closed. They have default pics for the dot view as well.

Only a visual observation but the case seems to be pretty flimsy along the edge of the front flap and it provides very little protection around the edges and sides of the phone. There also appears to be no way to lock the flap in position when its placed over the screen - on the plus side the dot matrix functionally looks nice.

MobileBurn just to add, when the phone bumps into or is dropped with this case in prolong use, the IR Blaster (the top part with the tinted glass) will have dent marks caused by the hard cover curves on the cover. The bottom part of the phone will not be effected as much mainly because of the aluminium body. This is a real turn off, at least more than the flip problem. HTC fan nevertheless, waiting on them to design a new dot view casing.

Anyone else have a problem with the case not closing properly and "shoot" open so you're stuck with a gap that makes a "hazy" view?

thing with this case cover is when it dirty on the flip side you can't clean it. the cover always snaps back hard to operate your phone with one hand. overall a good concept but not practical

The stupid thing is that they drill a hole on the frontal rubber flap but there isn't any support for shooting a selfie with the cover closed.

i love this case. no problem with it. htc made very good phone with few good gadgets. ive got the case and boombass speaker, i love both

I like this case but like you said the price is kind of steep.. lucky for me I can't be mad because I only paid $15 for the case.. even tho it pisses me off I can deal with it... I do have the otter box for this phone to I can see myself switching back soon lol good review video man

Why couldn't you just hold the front door to the dot case to the side while taking a picture instead of thinking you have to flip it all the way to the back

Makes a lot of sense for the case to be of a different material other than metal as it could very well interfere with the notifications received through the case. Makes 0 sense to produce a case with "premium" metal material and you lot COMPLAIN when it doesn't work knowing that they would have made the case according to your wants and then u find fault.
