Canada needs to change course to doing more business with the rest of the world unstead of being the biggest trading partner of the US. By doing so we will break away from American's hegemony and bullying. We lost the canolo trade with China by following the American's toxic trade policy. I hope the next government will do more business with the Global South. Europeans have woken up and doing just that.

I agree that Canada needs to distance themselves from America by doing more business abroad. Trump and Musk seem like they want world domination in the guise of democracy but I can see America slowly becoming a totalitarian dictatorship and perhaps leaning towards fascism. Musk will try to control media with American propaganda and interfere in other countries affairs and Trump will use the threat of tariffs and military for gain. America hasn’t been a country in a long while but is now an empire by stationing military bases around the world and manipulating other countries.Unfortunately other countries including Canada enabled them. But as history has shown, all empires have fallen when they get too big and aggressive with their arrogance. I can see why China,Russia and North Korea feel uneasy about them. The next time something unpleasant happens towards America,the allies whom they’re picking on should go for a long,long coffee break 😂
