Ukraine is reportedly planning to invite Russia to the next peace talks. Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky’s chief of staff Andriy Yermak said Kyiv is open to Moscow’s participation in the next round of peace talks, Bloomberg reported. Zelensky’s aide said that a follow-up meeting of last week’s peace summit in Switzerland is already in the works. He said it’s “possible” to invite a Russian representative to the next summit. Russia spent many years trying to avoid a conflict with Ukraine through diplomatic efforts to have Ukraine stop their shelling and missile strikes on the population of the Donbass region! Unfortunately Ukraine continued ignoring the Russian diplomatic efforts leaving Russia little choice but to launch a military intervention in Ukraine! Thankfully though Russia has offered peace talks from the outset while also stating that the longer Ukraine waited to begin negotiations the harder it would be for Ukraine to get favourable results! Unfortunately not only has Zelensky refused to negotiate but a preliminary peace agreement initialed by the Ukrainian negotiator was reportedly abandoned after a visit to Ukraine by Boris Johnson! Nevertheless Russia has repeatedly offered to talk peace with Ukraine or even with a US representative as they seem to be calling the shots so to speak. Thank God Russia hasn't used Israeli type tactics in regards to the civilian population of Ukraine rather Russia has gone to great lengths to avoid civilian deaths in Ukraine!

The recent sham Peace Summit in Switzerland fanned enough vitriol with the same anti-Soviet narrative as though we are still living in the 1960s or 1970s, forgetting that Russia is a Christian country and communism died a decade or so (1989) before the turn of the 21st century.
